Property Finders

Finding the right property

Whether it’s a purchase home for forever or a suitably adapted rental for now, we know the property market well enough to find the right space for people with disabilities. We take the time to understand their clinical needs and lifestyle choices, securing deals in their best interests.

Once we’ve found a suitable home, we continue to work with everyone on both sides of the purchase or rental agreement until the negotiations are finalised.

Renting a home for now

When a person with disabilities is unable to move into their future home straight away, we need to secure suitable rental accommodation—and fast. This is so they can receive the necessary care and therapy packages as soon as possible and maximise their potential.

Whether a short term contract or a multi-year agreement, we approach each tenancy on an individual basis to make renting a viable short- to mid-term option for those with additional needs.

We represent the person with injuries throughout the process, as we manage and negotiate the tenancy. This includes working with letting agents and landlords to agree on the necessary property adaptations. We always ensure that the reinstatement provisions at the end of the tenancy are considered at the start. This way everyone knows what is happening on the way in, and more importantly, on the way out of the tenancy. With this degree of care and forethought we can create a safe haven for the individual in a place they could proudly call home.

Buying a forever home

We base our property search on each individual’s specific needs, including wheelchair access, space for a stair lift, or accessible bathrooms.

The person we are representing has likely been in a serious accident. This means they’re often unable to view the properties themselves, so we do the viewings for them. We then report back with detailed summaries on location, care options, schooling, family dynamics, and the property itself.

We involve the individual buyer at every stage of the process and work with the estate agent and the vendor to manage the purchase.

Working with the wider team

To move forward positively, we are renowned for keeping everyone involved in the loop.

We work with solicitors, Deputies, Case Managers and Therapists to define our roles and responsibilities during the search, purchase, adaptation or build of a new home. This makes sure we’re consistently and continuously working in the best interests of the person with disabilities.

Vendors, purchase agents, letting agents and landlords can rely on us to manage the process and address any concerns they may have. The individuals we are representing are financially-secure tenants or buyers, resulting in secure transactions for everyone involved in finding the right home.
