PLG has a strong and proven background in building long and close working relationships with our professional partners, giving us the edge in the disability property sector.
We form the glue that brings all of the respective parties together during the searching, purchasing, adapting or building of disability homes, delivering much needed consistency and continuity during the process.
From the outset, clear lines of communication are opened and roles and responsibilities are identified to ensure that everyone is pulling in the same direction for the maximum benefit of our mutual client.
Our understanding of the legal process, relevant case law, settled cases and operating with the constraints of interim payments ensure that all planning processes take into account the effects that these elements can have on our clients’ claim and ultimately the purchase and building works of their new home.
We have an excellent understanding of the roles other professionals play, such as the accommodation and defendant experts.
We work closely with Deputies and our mutual clients across the country and have a full understanding of the role the Deputy has to play. We use this knowledge to educate associated stakeholders such as building contractors or estate agents on the Deputies obligations to their clients, as well as the intricacies of operating under and reporting to the Court of Protection. This communication ensures that all parties are aware of the necessary requirements with projects and purchases running more smoothly.
We understand the impact of a property on other aspects of a client’s life, including their care regime, schooling and various therapies. Taking an active role from the outset, PLG will work closely and inclusively with the Case Managers to ensure their input is included from the outset.
Through our dealings with Occupational Therapists, we ensure the specification of equipment is ideally suited to the individual, as well as ensuring it is future proofed for their needs. We never employ a one-size-fits-all approach, but ensure our work is tailored to the needs of each case.
